Design – Garmin unveiled several wearables in the market. One of the wearable is the Garmin VivoActive 3, a smartwatch with similar look to the Garmin Fenix series. The smartwatch has a sporty design with interchangeable silicon strap with stainless steel buckle. The body is a combination of fiber reinforced polymer and stainless steel, making it lightweight and at the same time durable. Create your own collection of custom faces—even variations of the same design. With the current watch face showing, touch and hold the display. Swipe left all the way to the end, then tap the New button (+). Turn the Digital Crown to browse watch faces, then tap Add.

GMT4 is the most flexible watch face available for Garmin wearable devices. With up to 4 different time zones and over 40 user settings GMT4 is hundreds of watches in one. Build your own customised unique watch face as you control the style, colours, layout and much more.

With the latest web enabled version you can now define up to 8 different watch faces and automatically switch between them based on your own schedule. Now you can have a different watch face every day of the week or have one look for work and another for after work!

Time zones can be shown in 12 or 24 hour formats or a 'second' hour hand can be displayed. This feature can also be enabled to be displayed only when outside your 'home' time zone. Then when you travel you will always be able to tell the time at home, great for the frequent flyers!

The alternative time zones can also have Daylight Savings Rules applied depending on which country and city you might using.

Choosing the right version

From release 4.5 all versions of GMT 4 and GMT 4 Master are exactly the same, however certain features are only enabled in different versions if your device supports them. Supported features by device is dcoumented on the help page. On Garmin devices that support regular updates every second (Garmin call them 1Hz devices) it is possible to have a second hand that is always visible. There are still some restrictions with the number of different colours you can run at once. (see Settings page)
